What happens when you fall asleep?

What happens when you fall asleep?
There are 4 stages of sleep stage one, stage two, stage three and REM.It first starts with stage one, with in minutes of sleeping you reach stage one which is light sleep and you can be easily be woken up and  you're brain reduces alpha waves and increases theta waves and you're eye movement slows down.In stage two we spend half of our time in this stage. This stage ( two) is what connects you to motor learning like knowing how to play a new sports and how to learn how to a new instruments.Stage 3 is when you are in deep sleep and produce slow delta waves and is harder to be woken up.The last stage is REM which stands for Rapid eye movement.Audit spend 20 percent of there sleep in this stage and kids spend 50 percent in this stage.During this you're eyes start moving rapidly and the body's muscles are paralyzed also you have vivid dreams. The purpose of REM sleep still remains a mystery. There are all the stages they repeat themselves until we wake up
