YAY!!! Its the the day we go to the Museum we did it because our inquiry topic was natural disasters, so went to see the volcano room.Room 5,6,7,8 and parent helper went with us also the teachers by the way it was the Wednesday 12th September 2018.
GOING THERE
First the bell ring we all run into class, Miss Ashley was in the class waiting for us.First we did the roll after that Miss Ashley
y said ¨ 3 people put your lunch into one bag¨
Room 7 replied back ¨ ok ” we all thought about it in our heads we were go to be without our friends but she said that we could choose what group we could go in.We had to choose between Miss Ashley, Harriet (Reigns nana), Lisi (Lily’s mum). We pick lisi ( lily mom) after that we all got in a line to walk down to the hall Mrs Fepuleai. She told us all the rules like she was a army General later on we all lined up to go the bus while riding we sing songs.
GROUND FLOOR
When we got there we had morning tea on the stairs after that we went into this room with stuff like plate, Trophy, dresses,Fantasy glasses.After that we went to the maori court there was was the Treaty of waitangi, weapon,greenstone,tattoo and a huge waka and also a marae. We had to take of our shoes before we go in. Timote said (I bet i could do a maori dance in front of everyone)
Lopi replied (do it then) so I did it.There also was pasifika stuff my favorite part was the Tongan stuff there yee (it is a fan made in by hand).
FIRST FLOOR
When we got to the first floor we found a volcano room there was rocks that you can lift rocks and there is a rock that you can play music on it called basait.
There is a tv with fake news telling everyone about volcanoes after that there is a house in the house there is a huge window you can throw it but you can only see a screen that looks like it outside and of course there is a volcano.A couple of minutes later the tv turned on it was the news after that I thought it was a Simulator After that the stages of volcanic eruption the ground started shaking. Later on we went to weird and wonderful when we first Glanced at it we thought it was the best it was like a tree house there were bone,turtle shell and spiders.There was a some stairs leading up to a little room with bean bags.after that there was a dinosaur room the dinosaur with huge dinosaur.
TOP FLOOR
There was war stuff like weapon, massive tornado in a fake submarine, gun, the wall of memory aeroplanes.There was a spitfire room with a plane in it with video.Butterfly room with a big caterpillar that you crawl throw and there was a an computer that you can color your butterfly.
Home time
When we had a fun time at the Museum we had to end it so we had lunch me and my friends played a game that is like rock, paper,scissor but if you lose you get a smack in your head with a plastic bottle
